Middle School

Children are dealing with a lot of life changes as their bodies. their home, and school environments are changing.

School  becomes more demanding as children have to become more independent in organizational skills, study strategies, and self advocacy.

Peer pressure begins to develop as young teens are exposed to decisions of whether to join others in risk taking behaviors.

Children can become more disrespectful at home as they pull more away from parents and look for more independence.

Increase self-awareness and focus on appearance can start to develop as children start to compare themselves to peers and the way other kids their age look.

Social interactions through technology start to develop as children use smart phones, and social media platforms to connect with peers  outside of school.
